Abstract: Let $V$ and $V^{\prime }$ be vector spaces of dimension $n$ and $n^{\prime }$, respectively. Let $kin2,\mathrm{...},n-2$ and $k^{\prime }in2,\mathrm{...},n^{\prime }-2$. We describe all isometric and $l$-rigid isometric embeddings of the Grassmann graph $Gamm{a}_k(V)$ in the Grassmann graph $Gamm{a}_{k^{\prime }}(V^{\prime })$.
