Fast correlation attacks based on turbo code techniques
This paper describes new interesting methods for fast correlation attacks on stream ciphers. It has been shown how iterative decoding techniques based on the ideas from the construction and decoding of turbo codes can be used as a basis for correlation attacks on stream ciphers. Some simulation results for the turbo algorithm are compared with the results for algorithms by \textit{W. Meier} and \textit{O. Staffelbach} [J. Cryptology 1, No. 3, 159--176 (1989; Zbl 0673.94010)] and the authors [Lect. Notes Comput. Sci. 1592, 347--362 (1999; Zbl 0931.94027)]. For the entire collection see [Zbl 0921.00042].
