Finite groups whose some centralizers are \(TI\)-subgroups or subnormal subgroups

The paper studies finite groups \(G\) such that the centralizer of every prime power order element is either a \(TI\)-subgroup or a subnormal subgroup of \(G\). It first derives structural properties in the stronger case where all such centralizers are \(TI\)-subgroups and then proves in general that the given hypothesis forces \(G\) to be a \(CN\)-group. In particular, every Sylow subgroup is shown to be a \(TI\)-subgroup.\N\NThe main result establishes that \(G\) is either nilpotent, or a Frobenius group whose complement is either cyclic or the direct product of a cyclic group of odd order and \(Q_8\), or \(G \cong \mathrm{PSL}(2,2^n)\) with \(n>1\). The solvable case is handled by combining the \(CN\)-property with the classification of solvable \(CN\)-groups and excluding the 3-step case, while the nonsolvable case uses information on Sylow \(2\)-subgroups together with known results on finite groups with nilpotent centralizers. As an immediate corollary, the same trichotomy is obtained when the centralizer of every prime power order element is assumed to be a \(TI\)-subgroup.
