Finiteness of homological filling functions
From MaRDI portal
Abstract: Let be a group. For any --module and any integer , we define a function generalizing the notion of --dimensional filling function of a group. We prove that this function takes only finite values if is of type and , and remark that the asymptotic growth class of this function is an invariant of . In the particular case that is a group of type , our main result implies that its -dimensional homological filling function takes only finite values, addressing a question from [12].
