Fixed point rays of nonexpansive mappings
From MaRDI portal
[For the entire collection see Zbl 0744.00035.] Let \(T: X\to X\) be a non-expansive mapping of a strictly convex and smooth Banach space \(X\) with a linear subspace \(Y\) consisting of fixed points. It is proved that \(T(x+ y)= Tx+ y\) holds for any \(x\in X\) and any \(y\in Y\).
