The paper deals with the classification of functions whose Fourier series generate sequences \(\{T_n\}\) of \(n\times n\) Toeplitz matrices. The authors describe a procedure for constructing the Fourier series for which the sequence \(\{T_n\}\) contains a subsequence of normal matrices.
