Functions with Compact Preimages of Compact Sets
From MaRDI portal
A function \(f: {\mathbb{R}}\to {\mathbb{R}}\) is called \textit{preimage-compact} if preimages of compact sets under \(f\) are compact. The authors prove some facts about sets of continuity points of such functions. For example: if \(f\) is preimage-compact then \(C(f)\) is open and dense.
