Fuzzy identification using methods of intelligent data analysis
The paper is concerned with various approaches to system identification carried out with the aid of the technology of fuzzy sets. First, the study provides a comprehensive taxonomy of the models by taking into consideration such aspects as nonlinearity, dimensionality, and noise that are involved in any identification endeavor. Neurofuzzy models are analyzed along with the main identification tasks enhancing their interpretability (pruning). Discussed are also probabilistic and cluster-driven models. The latter are designed using a number of alternative versions of the generic fuzzy c-means (fuzzy c-lines and fuzzy c-elliptotopes). For the entire collection see [Zbl 0874.00030].
