Homogenization of a class of linear partial differential equations
In first part of the paper, the author recalls the setting and the main results regarding the homogenization in the context of differential and partial differential equations. Also, we find a survey on Sobolev lattices. The author uses a useful tool, namely the ``weak-strong principle, to obtain a criterion which ensures that it is possible to compute the limit of a product of convergent sequences of material laws and convergent sequences of Hilbert space elements. Special attention is given to the homogenization of evolutionary equations with a spatial operator that has compact resolvent. All theoretical results on homogenization are embodied in concrete equations from acoustic, thermodynamics and so on.
