Introduction to the network approximation method for materials modeling.

From MaRDI portal

The author describes how networks approximations enables to derive solutions of continuum boundary-value problem via a discrete description based on structural approximation. In the first two chapters, they review ``mathematical notions used in the analysis of transport problems in composite materials and the ``background and motivation for the introduction of networks models. They complete the analysis by five extra chapters called ``networks approximation for boundary value problems with discontinuous coefficients..., ``Numerics for percolation and polydispersity via networks models, ``The network approximation for an infinite number of bodies, ``Network methods for non-linear composites, ``Networks approximation for potential of bodies and ``Application of the method of complex variables.
