Inversive difference modules and solvability of systems of linear difference equations

The author studies homological properties of inversive difference modules and applies them to the problem of solvability of a system of linear difference equations over a difference field. He proves the existence of Grothendieck's spectral sequence for the functor Ext in the category of inversive difference modules.
