The author considers a functional differential equation with infinite delay subject to pre-assigned moments of impulse action and proves a result on the uniform asymptotic stability and global stability of the trivial solution. This result is achieved by means of piecewise continuous Lyapunov functions and Razumikhin-type techniques. It is worth mentioning that the conditions on the Lyapunov functions allow to increase significantly between the impulses and at the impulse times as long as the decrease at certain impulse times balances it properly. A numerical example is given.
