In the paper under review, the authors study holomorphic vector bundles over open threefolds. Given \(W\) a connected complex manifold and \(Z\) a curve contained in \(W\) that is reduced, connected and locally a complete intersection such that the conormal bundle \(N^*_{Z|W}\) is ample, they show that every holomorphic bundle on \(\hat{Z}\) is filtrable and also algebraic if \(Z\) is smooth. After introducing the notion of partial invariants and tabulating some examples in the case of local Calabi-Yau threefolds, they turn to the problem of computing the dimension of the local moduli of vector bundles over \(Z\). When \(W\) is the total space of a vector bundle over \(Z\simeq\mathbb{P}^1\) they show that such dimension depends only on \(E _{|Z}\). The last section deals with the case of curves of positive genus and contains some interesting bounds on the dimension of the local moduli space.
