A special class of continuous time nonlinear systems exhibiting chaotic behavior is considered. A state error feedback control strategy is found, based on linear matrix inequality techniques, to reliably synchronize a couple of such systems in such a way that the state error is asymptotically stable in the presence of certain actuator failures. Illustrative simulation studies are also included.
