A generalized Kähler structure is an extension of the notion of ordinary Kähler structure from the viewpoint of generalized complex structures, an interpolation between symplectic and complex structures. A Poisson structure on a complex manifold is a holomorphic 2-vector with vanishing Schouten bracket. Analyzing definitions in classical complex geometry, some interesting results are obtained along the line by various authors listed in the reference. Poisson submanifolds and generalized Kähler submanifolds are discussed from the viewpoint of deformations. The author shows that a non-trivial holomorphic Poisson structure \(\beta\) on a compact Kähler manifold \(X\) generates deformations of non-trivial generalized Kähler structure \(\mathcal J_{\beta t}\) parametrized by thecomplex number\(t\) on \(X\). Furthermore, these exists a complex differential form \(\psi_t\) with \(\dim_{\mathbb C}\operatorname{ker}\psi=2 \dim_{\mathbb C}X\) on each generalized Kähler manifold \((X, \mathcal J_{\beta t}).\) Since there is an 1-1 correspondence between generalized Kähler structures and bi-Hermitian structures with a torsion condition, deformations of bi-Hermitian structures are also discussed in the last section.
