The paper extends to fermions the theory [Ann. Phys. 323, No.~8, 1963--1988 (2008; Zbl 1251.81052), ibid. 1989--2017 (2008; Zbl 1154.82016)] of a response of quantum Heisenberg field operators to the presence of particle currents. In the Bose case the pertinent currents were introduced as C-number fields, while for fermions they are composed from elements of the finite dimensional Grassmann algebra. The Hilbert space approach to Grassmann algebra is employed and operator methods are developed. Kubo-Schwinger currents are analyzed in the Grassmannian lore. Properties of the R-normal operator ordering are explained. C-number response functions for fermions are derived. The response of elementary fermionic systems is described in the Appendix.
