The repetitive algebra of a hereditary algebra, introduced by \textit{D. Hughes} and \textit{J. Waschbüsch} [Proc. Lond. Math. Soc., III. Ser. 46, 347-364 (1983; Zbl 0488.16021)], plays an important role in the study of self-injective algebras. In the article under review, the authors study a cluster-theoretic version: the cluster repetitive algebra of a cluster-tilted algebra. Such algebras were defined by \textit{C. M. Ringel} [in Appendix (pages 413-472) of L. Angeleri Hügel, D. Happel and H. Krause (eds.), Handbook of tilting theory. Lond. Math. Soc. Lect. Note Ser. 332. Cambridge: Cambridge University Press (2007; Zbl 1106.16300)]. In the article under review it is shown that there is a strong connection (a diagram of dense functors) relating the cluster repetitive algebra, the repetitive algebra, the cluster category and the corresponding cluster tilted algebra which induces a relationship between the Auslander-Reiten quiver of the cluster repetitive algebra and the Auslander-Reiten quiver of the cluster-tilted algebra, and implies that the cluster-tilted algebra is representation finite if and only if the cluster repetitive algebra is locally representation finite. It also enables the authors to relate the trivial extension of the tilted algebra by its minimal injective cogenerator with the corresponding cluster-tilted algebra: their motivation for the study of the repetitive algebras.
