The authors introduce a new concept of circular spectrum \(\sigma(f)\) for a function \(f:R\rightarrow X\), where \(X\) is a Banach space, and use it to study the existence and uniqueness of bounded solutions to periodic evolution equations of the form \[ u^{\prime}=A(t)u+f(t),\quad t\in R.\tag{1} \] Their main result states that if the homogeneous equation associated with \((1)\) generates a \(1-\)periodic evolutionary process \((U(t,s))_{t\geq s}\) with monodromy operator \(P(t):=U(t,t-1),t\in R\), and if \(f\) is almost periodic (resp. almost automorphic), then \((1)\) has a unique mild solution \(u\) which is almost periodic (resp. almost automorphic) and such that \(\sigma (u)\subset\sigma(f),\) provided that \(\sigma(P)\cap\sigma(f)=\emptyset\). Then they extend their results to the case of periodic evolution equations of the form \[ u^\prime=A(t)u+\varepsilon H(t,u)+f(t), \] where \(A(t)\) and \(H\) are 1-periodic in \(t,\varepsilon\) is small, and \(f\) is a bounded and continuous function.
