The Barnes double zeta-function \(\zeta_2(s; a, b, \chi)\), \(s=\sigma + it\), for \(\sigma > 2\), is defined by the double series \[ \zeta_2(s; a, b, \chi) = \sum_{m, n=0}(am +bn+ \chi)^{-s}, \] where \(a>0\) and \(b>0\) are real numbers, and \(\chi\) is a real number such that \(am +bn+ \chi >0\) for all natural numbers \(n\) and \(m\). The Barnes double Gamma-function \(\Gamma_2 (\chi; a, b)\) is defined as \[ \log \Gamma_2 (\chi; a, b) = \zeta'_2(0; a, b, \chi) + \log \rho_2 (a, b) \] where \[ \log \rho_2 (a, b) = - \lim_{x \rightarrow 0}(\zeta'_2(0; a, b, \chi) + \log \chi). \] In the paper, the author presents a complete investigation of main analytic properties of these functions. Applying heat kernels methods, it is obtained an information on poles, residues and values at non-positive integers for \(\zeta_2(s; a, b, \chi)\). Using the Plana theorem the author proves an integral representation of Barnes zeta-function that determines its analytic extension (from this equation an integral representation for Barnes Gama-function is obtained). Also, a series representation for \(\zeta_2(s; a, b, \chi)\) and \(\Gamma_2 (\chi; a, b)\) are provided. (Representation for \(\zeta_2(s; a, b, \chi)\) is differentiable and gives a series representation for the derivative at zero of the zeta-function and also for the Gamma-function). For example, one of results follows. The function \(\zeta_2(s; a, b, \chi)\) has an analytic extension to the complex plane with simple poles at \(s=1\) and \(s=2\) with residues. \[ \text{Res}_{s=1} \zeta_2(s; a, b, \chi) = {1 \over 2}\left( {1 \over a} + {1 \over b}\right) - {\chi \over ab} \] and \[ \text{Res}_{s=2} \zeta_2(s; a, b, \chi) = {1\over ab}, \] respectively. The values at zero and at negative integers \(-k = -1, -2, -3,\dots\) are \[ \zeta_2(0; a, b, \chi) = {1 \over 4}+{1 \over 12}\left( {a \over b} + {b \over a}\right)- {\chi \over 2}\left( {1 \over a} + {1 \over b}\right) + {\chi2 \over 2ab}, \] \[ \zeta_2(-k; a, b, \chi) =(-1)^k k! \sum_{j=0}^{k+2}{(-1)^j \over j!} \text{e}_{k-j}\chi^j. \]
