The author studies convergence properties of the iterative method \(x_{n+1}=x_n-B_{n+1} f(x_n)\), \(B_{n+1}=2B_n-B_n [x_n,x_{n-1},f] B_n\) for solving nonlinear operator equations \(f(x)=0\), where \(f:X \to W\) is a mapping between Banach spaces \(X,W\) and \([x,y,f]\) is the linear operator of divided differences \([x,y,f](x-y)=f(x)-f(y)\), \(x,y \in X\).
