The authors study the eigenvalue problem for the Laplacian operator with homogeneous Dirichlet boundary condition on a bounded domain in a finite dimensional complete Riemannian manifold. Estimates related to the lower bound of eigenvalues are established taking into account their dependence on the domain. In addition, the authors prove a universal inequality for eigenvalues on a bounded domain in the hyperbolic space with constant curvature \(-1\).
