The author considers generalized convolution operators on the space \(H(\mathbb{C})\) of entire functions on the complex plane generated by operators of Gelfond-Leontiev generalized differentiation. It is shown that they are well defined, linear and continuous. Moreover, it is proved that every convolution operator of this type which is not a constant multiple of the identity is hypercyclic and chaotic, thus extending the cases of classical convolution operators on \(H(\mathbb{C})\) [\textit{G.\,Godefroy} and \textit{J.\,H.\thinspace Shapiro}, J.~Funct.\ Anal.\ 98, No.\,2, 229--269 (1991; Zbl 0732.47016)] and those constructed with Dunkl operators [\textit{J.\,J.\thinspace Betancor, J.\,D.\thinspace Betancor} and \textit{J.\,M.\,Méndez}, Rocky Mt.\ J.\ Math.\ 34, No.\,4, 1207--1237 (2004; Zbl 1059.43004); \textit{J.\,J.\thinspace Betancor, M.\,Sifi} and \textit{K.\,Triméche}, Acta Math.\ Hung.\ 106, No.\,1--2, 101--116 (2005; Zbl 1085.44003)]. The proof follows by an application of the hypercyclicity criterion.
