This paper is devoted to the asymptotic stability of traveling wave fronts for nonlocal reaction-diffusion equations with delay having the form \[ \partial u/\partial t=D\triangle u-h(u(x,t))+f\biggl( \int_{-\infty }^{+\infty } g(y)S[u(x-y,t-\tau )]\,dy\biggr), \] where \(x\) is a real quantity, \(t>0\), \(D>0\), \(\tau \geq 0\), \(\triangle \) is the Laplacian operator, and the functions \(f\), \(h\), \(S\) and \(g\) satisfy the conditions: {\parindent=7mm \begin{itemize}\item[(i)] \(f(0)=h(0)=S(0)=0\), \(f(S(K))-h(K)=0\), \(S,h\in C^2[0,K]\), \(f\in C^2[0,S(K)]\) for \(K>0\), \item[(ii)] \(S'(u)\geq 0\) for \(u\in [0,K]\), \(f'(v)\geq 0\) for \(v\in [0,S(K)]\), \(f'(0)S'(0)>h'(0)\), and \(f'(S(K))S'(K)<h'(K)\), \item[(iii)] \(S'(0)u\geq S(u)\), \(f(S(u))>h(u)>0\), and \(h(u)\geq h'(0)u\) for \(u\in (0,K)\), and \(f'(0)v\geq f(v)\) for \(v\in [0,S(K)]\), \item[(iv)] \(g(x)\) is any integrable nonnegative function satisfying the condition \[ \int_{-\infty }^{+\infty }g(y)\,dy=1, \qquad g(-x)=g(x), \] for some real \(x\), and \[ \int_{-\infty }^{+\infty }e^{-\lambda y}g(y)\,dy< +\infty \quad \text{for any } \lambda >0. \] \end{itemize}} It turns out that the problem under consideration is applicable to some models with different kernel function \(g(x)\) as the nonlocal Nicholson's blowflies model with delay, Al-Omari, Gourley's age-structured population model and So, Wu, Zou's age-structured population model. The authors prove that the traveling wave front is exponentially stable by weighted energy method, when the initial perturbation around the wave is suitable small in a weighted norm. An exponential convergent rate is discussed as well. These results are applied to some known population models stated above.
