The concept of trapped surfaces, was introduced by \textit{R. Penrose} [Phys. Rev. Lett. 14, 57--59 (1965; Zbl 0125.21206)]. It is considered as a cornerstone for the achievement of singularity theorems, the analysis of gravitational collapse, the cosmic censorship hypothesis and other areas. Recently, the marginally trapped surfaces have been studied from different geometric points of view. In this paper the authors obtain a complete classification of quasi-minimal surfaces with parallel mean curvature vector in the pseudo-Euclidean space \(E^4_2\). More exactly there are classified quasi-minimal flat surfaces with parallel mean curvature vector and non-flat quasi-minimal surfaces with parallel mean curvature vector.
