In this paper, the authors develop an approach for reconstructing operators generated by Jacobi matrices considered in the space \(l_{2} (\mathbb{N})\). They show that a Jacobi matrix can be recovered uniquely from the spectra of two different selfadjoint extensions of the associated operator. They also give necessary and sufficient conditions for two sequences to be the spectra of two selfadjoint extensions of the operator associated to a Jacobi matrix in the limit circle case. The proofs are constructive.
