The authors contribute to the analysis of the old difficult problem of irrationality (or rationality) of the following series \[ h^{\pm}(q_1,q_2):=\sum_{k=1}^\infty\frac{q_1^k}{1\pm q_2^k},\quad 0<q_1,q_2<1,\quad q_1\in\mathbb{Q},\quad q_2=1/p_2,\quad p_2\in \mathbb{N}\setminus\{1\}. \] The interest in this problem, starting with Erdős' proof of irrationality of \(h^-(q,q)=\zeta (1)\) in 1948, did not diminishes during the last years. The new Padé approximation technique introduced by Van Assche is applied by the authors to prove the irrationality of some new numbers of type \(h^{\pm}(q_1,q_2)\), in particular \(\zeta_q(1)\) and \(ln_q2\). The asymptotic behaviour of the error term of rational approximation of these numbers is calculated and an upper bound for the irrationality measure is given. Analysing a special case of \(q_i=(1/p)^{r_i}\quad p,r_i\in\mathbb{N};p>2\) the authors improved considerably certain factor needed to transform approximation sequences into integer sequences.
