Summary: A kind of delay neural network with \(n\) elements is considered. By analyzing the distribution of the eigenvalues, a bifurcation set is given in an appropriate parameter space. Then by using the theory of equivariant Hopf bifurcations of ordinary differential equations due to \textit{M. Golubitsky, I. Stewart} and \textit{D. G. Schaeffer} [Singularities and groups in bifurcation theory. Volume II, New York etc.: Springer (1988; Zbl 0691.58003)] and delay differential equations due to \textit{J. Wu} [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 350, No.~12, 4799--4838 (1998; Zbl 0905.34034)], and combining the normal form theory of functional differential equations due to \textit{T. Faria} and \textit{L. T. Magalhães} [J. Differ. Equations 122, No.~2, 181--200 (1995; Zbl 0836.34068)], the equivariant Hopf bifurcation is completely analyzed.
