In the paper under review the author investigates the Fourier expansion of the Siegel-Eisenstein series of degree two, weight \(k\) and square-free odd level \(N\) with respect to a primitive Dirichlet character \(\chi\) mod \(N\) satisfying \(\chi (-1)=(-1)^k\). It turns out that \(E^{(2)}_{k,\overline{\chi}}\) is up to a scalar multiple the Maaß\ lift of the Jacobi-Eisenstein series \(E^\infty_{k,1,\chi}\) on \(\Gamma_0(N)\times \mathbb{Z}^2\). Contrary to the classical case \(N=1\) the proof uses the Koecher-Maaß\ series of a Siegel modular form twisted by Maaß\ forms and the Roelcke-Selberg decomposition. Thus the Fourier coefficients satisfy the usual Maaß\ conditions involving fairly complicated functions arising from \(N\) and \(\chi\).
