The \(\square_b\) heat equation and multipliers via the wave equation (Q1038695)

The paper revisits the issue of rigorous estimates for the heat-conductivity equation in pseudoconvex domains in the two-dimensional space. Recently, off-diagonal and on-diagonal estimates for the corresponding kernel were reported. The present authors offer simple proofs of these facts, which may be readily extended to more general situations. The approach developed in this work is based on adapting the relationship between solutions to the heat-conductivity equation and those generated by the wave equation with a finite propagation speed.
