Summary: We consider the multi-point discrete boundary value problem with one-dimensional \(p\)-Laplacian operator \[ \Delta(\phi p(\Delta u(t-1))+q(t)f(t,u(t),\Delta u(t))=0,\;t\in\{1,\ldots,n-1\} \] subject to the boundary conditions: \(u(0)=0\), \(u(n)=\sum_{i=1}^{m-2}a_i u(\xi_i)\), where \(\phi_p(s)=|s|^{p-2}s\), \(p>1\), \(\xi_i\in\{2,\ldots,n-2\}\) with \(1<\xi_1<\ldots<\xi_{m-2}<n-1\) and \(a_i\in(0,1)\), \(0<\sum_{i=1}^{m-2}a_i<1\). Using a new fixed point theorem due to \textit{R. I. Avery} and \textit{A. C. Peterson} [Comput. Math. Appl. 42, No.~3--5, 313--322 (2001; Zbl 1005.47051)], we study the existence of at least three positive solutions to the above boundary value problem.
