The authors prove the following statement: Let \(X/K\) be a \(K3\) surface defined over a number field \(K\). Then there exists a finite algebraic field extension \(E/K\) and a set \(\Sigma(E,X)\) of places of \(E\) such that \(X_E\) has \textit{ordinary} good reduction at every place \(v\in \Sigma(E,X)\). This results was already known in the case that \(X\) is the Kummer surfaces of an abelian variety [\textit{Arthur Ogus}, Lect. Notes Math. 900, 357--414 (1982; Zbl 0538.14010)], and the case that the endomorphism field of \(X_{\mathbb{C}}\) is totally real [\textit{S. G. Tankeev}, Izv. Math. 63, No. 1, 181--218 (1999); translation from Izv. Ross. Akad. Nauk, Ser. Mat. 63, No. 1, 185--224 (1999; Zbl 0955.14034)]. A results were already known in the case that \(X\) is a curve or an abelian surface and for certain abelian three- and fourfolds.
