    Let \({\mathcal K}^n_o\) be the class of all closed convex sets in \(\mathbb R^n\) containing the origin \(O\), and \({\mathcal H}^n\) denote the set of all positively homogeneous convex functions \(h: \mathbb R^n \rightarrow \mathbb R_{\geq 0} \cup \{\infty\}\) with \(h(O)=0\). The authors prove the following theorem, which is similar to a result of \textit{R. Schneider} [Geom. Dedicata 3, 221--228 (1974; Zbl 0286.52006)]: For each Minkowski additive transform \(\mathcal T\) of \({\mathcal K}^n_o\) there exists a linear transformation \(B\) with \({\mathcal T}K=BK\) for all \(K\in {\mathcal K}^n_o\). They give as a direct corollary the following characterization of the support function \(h\): If \({\mathcal T} :{\mathcal K}^n_o \rightarrow {\mathcal H}^n\) is a Minkowski additive bijection then there exists a linear transformation \(B\) such that \({\mathcal T} K = h_{BK}\) for all \(K\in {\mathcal K}^n_o\).
