The authors considered triples of \(N\)-functions \((M,H,J)\) that satisfy the \(\bigtriangleup^{\prime}\)-condition and measures \(\mu\) which are absolutely continuous with respect to the Lebesgue measure and satisfy an additive variant of the interpolation inequality \[ \int_{\mathbb{R}^ n}M(\mid \bigtriangledown u\mid)\mu (dx) \leq C\Big(\int_{\mathbb{R}^ n}H(\mid u\mid)\mu (dx)+\int_{\mathbb{R}^ n}J(\mid \bigtriangledown^{(2)} u\mid)\mu (dx)\Big), \] where \(u\in {\mathcal R}\sqsubseteq W^{2,1}_{loc}(\mathbb{R}^ n),~ {\mathcal R}\) is an arbitrary set invariant with respect to external and internal dilations and \(C>0\) is a constant independent of \(u\). It was shown that the above inequality implies its certain nonlinear variant involving the expressions \(\int_{\mathbb{R}^ n}H(\mid u\mid)\mu (dx)\) and \(\int_{\mathbb{R}^ n}J(\mid \bigtriangledown^{(2)} u\mid)\mu (dx).\) Various consequences and generalizations of this inequality to the more general class of \(N\)-functions, measures and higher order derivatives are presented and discussed.
