On dynamical systems with 2-adic time (Q1048419)

The paper concerns with certain non-Archimedean structures related to discrete periodic dynamics. A general concept of dynamical system with non-Archimedean time is proposed and it is illustrated by a certain limit of the dynamics on the sets of \(2^n\)-periodic points of real quadratic maps and it is showed that for the typical example the dynamical systems admits two compatible descriptions: a classical description with discrete time and a description with 2-adic time.
