      Let \(\beta\) \({\mathbb{N}}\) be the Stone-Čech compactification of the discrete space of natural numbers. Define \(T=\cap \{cl_{\beta {\mathbb{N}}} {\mathbb{N}}n :\) \(n=1,2,3,...\}\). Then there is a natural extension of each of the operations \(+\) and \(\cdot\) onto \(\beta\) \({\mathbb{N}}\) for which \((\beta {\mathbb{N}},+)\) and (\(\beta\) \({\mathbb{N}},\cdot)\) become right (or left) topological semigroups. Let M and K, respectively, be their minimal ideals. Then T is an ideal of (\(\beta\) \({\mathbb{N}}),\cdot)\) and a subsemigroup of \((\beta {\mathbb{N}},+)\). Let the minimal ideal of T under \(+\) and \(\cdot\) be \(M_ T\) and \(K_ T\), respectively. Then, trivially, \(cl_ T K_ T=cl_{\beta {\mathbb{N}}} K\). It is known that \(M_ T=M\cap T\). In this paper, \(cl_ T M_ T\) is characterized. It is shown that \(cl_ T M_ T\neq (cl_{\beta {\mathbb{N}}} M)\cap T\), and that \((cl_ T M_ T)\) is a right ideal of (\(\beta\) \({\mathbb{N}}),\cdot)\) with \((cl_ T M_ T)\cap K\neq \emptyset\).
