    Unsteady hydromagnetic flow of an electrically conducting fluid is studied under the following assumptions. The fluid is viscous and incompressible. The flow takes place past a uniformly accelerated vertical plate in the presence of a uniform magnetic field which is perpendicular to the plate. The electrically non-conducting plate rotates with an angular velocity which is perpendicular to the plate. Initially the temperature of the plate and the fluid is taken to be equal when the plate and the fluid are both at rest. The equations of the problem are formulated in the Boussinesq approximation and turn out to be a system of linear partial differential equations. This system is solved by Laplace transformation technique. The physical discussion of the results is given based on tables and figures prepared on the basis of the obtained solution.
