The paper deals with the equations of motion for nonlinear nonholonomic systems. Via Jourdain's principle the Mac-Millan formulation is generalized to such problems. The equivalence between the resulting equations and generalized Chaplygin's equations is shown. The application of the equations is illustrated by an example: threedimensional Keplerian motion subject to the constraint: constant kinetic energy.
