This paper deals with the combined Einstein-Cartan-Dirac-Weyl theory admitting as source of torsion a totally antisymmetric macroscopic spin density \(<S^{\mu \nu \rho}>\), \(\mu,\nu =0,1,2,3\). The claim is that \(<S^{\mu \nu \rho}>\) cannot be reduced to its Weyssenhoff-Raabe form \(S_{W.R}^{\nu \rho} u^{\mu}\) where the hydrodynamic velocity \(u^{\mu}\) determines the local rest-frame L.R. as, by using the relativistic Wigner formalism and assuming that antiparticles are not present, one gets that the spatial components of \(<S^{\mu \nu \rho}>\) in L.R. are vanishing. An alternative definition of spin density is also proposed \(S_{macr}^{\mu \nu \rho}=\epsilon^{\mu \nu \rho \tau} S_{\tau}\) where \(S^{\mu}\) is a conveniently defined spin-vector density. The author hopes that this spin density may be relevant in the evolution of very early universe.
