In this paper the authors studied the uniqueness of solutions of the initial boundary value problem of the dynamical theory of a magneto- elastic body. Utilizing the linearized field equations of electrically conducting elastic body with finite conductivity, they derived three uniqueness theorems for the initial boundary-value problems of a magneto- elastic body of infinite extent. In doing this, it is assumed that the elasticity tensor is either positive-semi definite, or uniformly strongly elliptic. The main feature of their results lies in the mildness of the assumptions about the behavior of data and solutions at large spatial distances.
