The trace of Sobolev-Slobodeckij spaces on Lipschitz domains (Q1084296)

Some well-known trace theorems for Sobolev-Slobodeckij spaces are proved under minimal regularity assumptions on the domain. It is shown that on Lipschitz domains the kernel of the trace operator is equal to the closure of the test-functions. Also the known characterization of the image of the trace operator is proved under minimal regularity assumptions. The main tool is the theory of general Besov spaces developed by \textit{A. Jonsson} and \textit{H. Wallin} [see Math. Rep., Chur 2, Pt. 1 (1984)].
