[For Part I see the preceding review.] This paper is a continuation of part I. The two parts of the paper study the mathematically interesting problem of the behaviour of a solution to the steady Stokes equations in a region which contains a periodic sieve. The precise goal of the paper under review is to determine the solution and its structure away from the sieve. It is shown that as the sieve becomes finer the velocity field and pressure converge to the solution of a Stokes problem with boundary conditions corresponding to the limit of the velocity field in the boundary layer and determined by the fluid flow on the boundary of the domain.
