The authors give an analysis of why the results of the topic: ``On the probability that the determinant of an \(n\times n\)-matrix over a finite field vanishes,'' by \textit{A. Mukhopadhyay} [ibid. 51, 311-315 (1984)] are false. Already in her review in Zbl 0553.15003 \(\oint KS\). Piccard wrote: ``La riguer des premisses sur lesquelles reposent les demonstrations des cing theorems preliminaire n'est pas evidente''.
