Let P denote the commutative algebra of all polynomials in a single variable x with coefficients in a field K (real or complex) of characteristic zero. Let P * be the vector space of all linear functionals on P and the action of a linear functional L on a polynomial P(x) is denoted by \(<L| p(x)>\). This vector space of linear functionals P * with identity is called the Umberal Algebra provided the product is associative and commutative. G. C. Rota and S. Roman in a series of papers have investigated the polynomial umbral calculus and discussed the classical polynomials sequences which appear in mathematical physics and combinatorics. In this paper the author has developed the umbral calculus by the use of generalization of the co-algebra-co-modulas formulation to obtain the addition formulas of special functions and the concept of factor sequence in a natural manner.
