Application of fuzzy sets of type 2 to the solution of fuzzy equations systems (Q1106209)

This paper is devoted to fuzzy relational equation systems with tolerances in which the outputs are described by fuzzy sets of type 2. Using the concept of quality index the authors define the solution as a union of fuzzy intervals from which one interval-valued fuzzy set can be derived. They are interested in the highest quality index. For the determination of this index the authors state a simple algorithm. The use of fuzzy sets of higher order for modelling system outputs makes the concept of fuzzy relation equation systems more flexible for application.
