    The synthesis method for linear control systems with desired equivalent form [see \textit{M. M. Konstantinov}, \textit{P. Kh. Petkov} and the reviewer, J. Comput. Appl. Math. 6, 27-35 (1980; Zbl 0439.93020)] is extended to the generalized systems \(Ex_{i+1}=Ax_ i+Bu_ i\); \(x_ i\in {\mathbb{R}}\) \(n,u_ i\in {\mathbb{R}}^ m,\) rank E\(=n\), with desired zero spectrum of the closed-loop matrix pencil \(sE-(A+BK)\), \(u_ i=Kx_ i\). The method does not require the inversion of E and has good numerical behaviour.
