The author investigates the problem of auditing multiple channels. An audit is assumed to be timeless unless a channel is occupied, in which case the audit ends with the termination of the call. The call durations on any channel as well as the interarrival times are assumed to be independent random variables with a gamma distribution. The aim of the paper is to give formulas for some important parameters such as the expected time taken for the auditor to inspect all channels, the expected fraction of each call audited, and the expected percentage of calls audited. These formulas depend on the distribution of the time between audits of each channel. The results in this article can be divided into some general formulas in the first part and approximations for these formulas in the second part. (Although the theorems seem to give exact results there are some rough approximations without any remarks about the possible errorsö) Some examples concerning special distributions for the interaudit times together with graphical representations of some interesting parameters in these cases end the article.
