    The paper deals with the behaviour of the convergents \(C(n)=b(0)+\frac{a(1)}{b(1)+}\cdot \cdot \cdot \frac{a(n)}{b(n)}\) of a continued fraction which is limit-periodic in the sense that for a fixed \(k>0\) complex \(\alpha\) (i), \(\beta\) (i) \((0\leq i<k)\) exist for which \(\lim a(nk+i)=\alpha (i),\quad \lim b(nk+i)=\beta (i)\) as \(n\to \infty\). The results derived are of the following sort. Let B(n) be the denominator of C(n) and set \(g(n)=B(n-1)/B(n).\) Let \(\{\) \(\gamma\) (n)\(\}\) be a convergent sequence and, setting \(\delta (A,b)=\{C(n+k)-A\}/\{C(n)- B\},\) determine V(n) from the relationship \[ \delta \{V(n),V(n)\}=\gamma (n)g(n+k)\delta \{C(n+k-1),C(n-1)\}/g(n). \] Let \(C=\lim C(n)\). Subject to suitable conditions, \(\lim \{(V(n)-C)/(C(n+pk)-C\}=0\) for \(p=1,2,...\).
