We consider solutions \(\psi\) to equations of the form \[ \sum_{i,j}a_{ij}(x)\partial_ i\partial_ j\psi(x)+ \sum_{i}b_ i(x)\partial_ i\psi(x)+ c(x)\psi(x)=g(x) \] in a sector \(\Omega\) of \({\mathbb{R}}^ 2\). The basic assumptions are that the limits \(a_{ij}(x)\to \delta_{ij}\), \(b_ i(x)\to 0\), \(c_ i\to E\) at infinity are achieved at certain rates and that g decays faster than \(\psi\). We then discuss the possible patterns of exponential decay for \(\psi\) in \(\Omega\).
