The first variation of a spatial (non-referential) Hamiltonian functional is computed in the case of a binary immiscible mixture of fluids. The effect of virtual inertia is considered by an extra kinetic energy term. The equation of motion of the mixture are derived by requiring the first variation to vanish along three main paths discovered here. Finally it is proved that Truesdell's metaphysical principles for ordinary mixtures apply to the present immiscible mixture too.
