This article is based on part I, see the preceding review, Zbl 0668.92006. It explores the equilibrium structure, i.e. the probability of identity of two genes at equilibrium, for the specific case of a population occupying a semi-infinite habitat. In particular, various qualitative features of the equilibrium solution, like signs of its first two partial derivatives (using the maximum principle of elliptic differential equations), are determined and upper and lower bounds on the probability of identity are deduced. The exact solution is found as a (complicated) integral, numerically illustrated and useful approximations are derived.
